Uniiii

I start next week, which is super late compared to majority of my friends. I’m sort of sick just being at the same stage I am at while I watch all my friends move on. I can’t wait for freshers week to start and everything next week. Getting to meet new people and all I just hope it actually is as good as I imagine.. better even would be nice! I’ve already fallen in love with the city its self because its something new and I just love the thrill of it all. New things.. sort of.. well compared to what we got back at home in Hong Kong. Just hoping and praying that God provides me so much more than I am picturing and surpasses all my expectations. Provides me that flat mate that has the same passion as me so that this drive and mentality for Christ keeps on fire!

Kabeza - House of Hope
House of Hope children have so much hope and love. The first moment that I walked into the orphanage the ten children that were staying there showered me in hugs. I didn’t know anything about them apart from the fact that they were previously street kids. Later on listening to their individual testimony’s, of children between the age of seven and ten drinking alcohol and getting hooked on drugs as a form to cure their ‘depression’ and fulfilling their ‘lifestyle’ was so shocking. Especially to see the change in them within a year! Emmanuel is the man who has taken these kids in and it is so wonderful to see how much God has given him a heart for these children. It can’t just be him that is helping these children change so much in just one year but it is by the power of God. His beautiful wonderful magnificent works. He is working in every single one of these children’s lives. Bless Emmanuel, Bless these children and many out there who are still yet to change and commit their lives to our Redeemer.

Busanza ♥
A place in Rwanda, one village with so much love. We went to this village twice to do outreach. When I went back the second time two of the children came to find me again. I will always remember their names (Kabebe and Sandrin). The smile across their faces and how they stuck together the whole time (they were siblings) was such a precious moment to witness. Although when we went to the village we were not able to complete what was intended to do over 100 people came to Christ. Grandpa’s, Grandma’s, Adults, Children. The way God was working in their lives and just in that village was a beautiful moment to witness. Just alone what God has started to stir up in all their hearts is so beautiful.
And this is only a part of the trip…… definitely more to come :)
Sorry for being very inconsistent with my posting. I’ve been very busy this summer and haven’t really just had a spare moment to tumblr. I am going away again sometime this week so don’t know how much I will be updating in the next few weeks. Hopefully can post another one before I leave :)

This world….

is so broken, so twisted. There is so much hurt, pain and suffering. Sometimes its hard to accept one of the most common processes in life, death. I know in my heart that there is always a positive light in the midst of negative darkness, just coming to accept it is hard. Difficult. Such a process so devastating. Just need that while to process and for it to really impact you, and grieving, depression, acceptance, recovery, it will all take its natural process in life. Knowing that God is right there by your side is that much reassuring. Realisation and shock are two of the hardest things to deal with at a point in time like this, but moving on is key, and God is with us every step of the way

RIP Susan, God has bigger and greater plans for you
